This percentage has continued to increase year after year and there have been periods when it has reached very significant levels. Moreover, thanks to the dividends paid by the consumer finance division, the percentage of net profit attributable to the group, which is distributed among the various Santander businesses, also increases. The purpose of this research was to determine the degree of relevance of Santander Consumer Finance within Santander Group and it was clear that, not only is the consumer finance division the most important segment within Santander in terms of volume, but also it is confirmed that it is fundamental due to the profitability it brings to the group generated year after year.
